Ingelheim 2025
Working, developing, and networking - all of this is now possible in the new co-working space “Raum51” in Ingelheim. The space is provided by the Ingelheim housing association. The location had already been largely converted into office space and was then redesigned by why the friday into a modern co-working space with a fresh look.

The concept focuses on incorporating modern, active New Work elements, creatively integrating them into the design and using a fresh color palette. Upon entering the space, you are immediately in the thick of things - a diverse lounge area with seating steps, perfect for social gatherings or events.

Large built-in furniture units in the service area provide personal lockers, a cloakroom, a printing area, and a snack station.

In terms of resource utilization and sustainability, some existing elements were retained and incorporated into the new concept, such as walls, floor coverings, parts of the lighting, and the grid ceiling construction. For example, the classic, closed grid ceiling was broken up by the addition of industrial-looking expanded metal panels.

The color concept divides the space into zones and breaks it up by using colors that reflect the different uses represented. Green, for example, is found around the work areas and meeting rooms, as it stands for “focus,” while the combination of terracotta and pink invites people to “come together” in the social areas. The social zones are further emphasized by contrasting colored ceiling areas.

The heart of the space is the central interaction zone, consisting of a large dining area with an open kitchenette and counter. The zone is further emphasized by the contrasting color of the ceiling panel.

A more private place to work can be found at a permanently assigned desk in one of the separate 4-person offices. If you prefer a more flexible and communicative environment, the large workbenches are the right choice for you - enclosed by a room installation with translucent partitions and curtains, this zone offers exactly as much openness as you need.

To complement the working environment, there are also various meeting rooms for discussions and creative work, as well as a relaxation room with a comfortable couch. The spatial concept is complemented by graphic designs from the Dubbel Späth agency.
