Darmstadt 2010
By building an area specifically designed for skateboarding purposes, a new public place for the skateboarding scene in Darmstadt was created. For its design, why the friday replicated typical elements from public places that are commonly used for skateboarding. As a result, the skate plaza has become a multifunctional spot where skateboarders and citizens meet and interact. The project was realized in cooperation with the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation and the construction company X-move. It took one year to complete.
